A Corporate Trivia Night in Downtown Toronto

Nine teams, two rounds, and a candy bar at nine

Blake, Cassels & Graydon took the second floor of Storys on a Wednesday night for trivia: 77 people, nine teams, and a menu timed around the questions. It was the firm’s second trivia night with us this year.

The second floor during the trivia night: guests at black high-top tables under string lights that run the length of the ceiling, the arched windows lit at the far end.

The venue

Hosting a trivia night in downtown Toronto

Storys is at 11 Duncan Street, a short walk from the Financial District. For Blakes, the second floor was set as one quiz room: nine numbered tables, one for each team, between the bar and the windows.

Six of the tables were high tops brought in for the night, with bar stools to match. The other three were lounge settings, sofas and chairs from the building’s own furniture. Lights ran across the whole ceiling.

If you are planning something similar, our corporate events page has the rooms and capacities.

The food station became a candy bar

At nine the savoury food came off, and the station was reset with sweets in glass jars: Twizzlers, chocolate pretzels, gummy worms, chocolate raisins, jelly beans, Sour Patch Kids and nut free M&M’s.

There were small bowls to eat from in the room and clear bags for anyone who wanted to take some home. It opened as the second round of trivia began.
